I found it!This is a great story written by a great writer. Captures the flavor of NYC perfectly. Read it in '83 and never forgot it. Re-read in one day. Breslin's NYGripping tale about the drug trade and warfare in the South Bronx in the late 70's...A must read! I couldn't put it down! I enjoyed this work by Jimmy Breslin the lives of Puerto Ricans growing up in the Bronx of New York. The strange love affair between an Italian woman and a spic, who tries to make good as a lawyer. The good prevail over the evil and if you associate with the evil you will lose.
