Siege of the UnseenOriginally, this was a novella entitled The Chronicler which first appeared in the pages of the 1946 October and November issue of Astounding. What I read was the 1959 Ace double version entitled Siege of the Unseen (I have not yet read "The World Swappers" by Brunner but will eventually). It has also later appeared... Molti asseriscono che questo sia il miglior romanzo di Van Vogt. Noi diciamo invece che senza alcun dubbio uno dei migliori scritti dal grande autore canadese, e questo, si badi bene, senza togliere alcunch alla bont dei narrato. Come in tutti i libri di Van Vogt, le avventure si succedono praticamente ogni due o tre pagine, tanto che... Un buon romanzo breve, con alcune idee ben delineate e altre appena abbozzate, e uno svolgimento dinamico con qualche bel colpo di scena.A parte "Crociera Nell'Infinito" questo quello che di van Vogt mi piaciuto maggiormente.
